Who is collecting your information

What we collect on this website, and why

When you send a booking enquiry we ask for your name and a phone number, and optionally your email address, the treatment you are interested in, and when would suit you. We use it for one thing: to phone you back and arrange your appointment.

Giving us this is voluntary. If you would rather not fill in a form, phone or email the lounge instead. If you leave out your name or number we cannot call you back, so the enquiry will not go anywhere.

We do not ask for medical history, symptoms, medication or any other health detail on this website, and please do not send it to us by email. Anything clinical is discussed with a nurse in the lounge and recorded on the forms you sign there, which are kept separately from this website.

Who can see it

Staff at the lounge who handle bookings. Our website and hosting provider, who keeps the system running under a written agreement that limits them to acting on our instructions. Nobody else, unless the law requires it.

Your information is stored on a server in South Africa. We do not send it out of the country.

We do not sell your information, and we do not send you marketing because you made a booking enquiry. If we ever want to send you offers we will ask you separately, and you will be able to say no at any time.

How long we keep it

A website booking enquiry is kept for 12 months and then deleted automatically. If you become a patient, your clinical records are kept for the period the law and our professional obligations require, which is longer, and that is explained on the forms you sign in the lounge.

How we protect it

The site is served over an encrypted connection. Staff access is password protected, limited to what each person's job needs, and every access is logged. Backups are taken daily and are also kept in South Africa.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to us using it. Write to us at info@vitavibe.co.za and we will respond. There is no charge for asking.

If you are not happy with how we have handled it, you may complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa: inforegulator.org.za, complaints.IR@justice.gov.za.

Cookies

This site sets one cookie, and only when you use the booking form. It is there to stop other websites submitting the form on your behalf. It is not used to track you, and there is no advertising or analytics tracking on this site.
